The Division of International and Humanitarian Medicine (DIHM) is part of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). Many of its activities contribute to the strengthening of health systems and to reducing existing inequities in access to health and care. Building on innovation, training and research, the DIHM works through partnerships to develop effective activities and reinforce local capacities. Project management, consultancy and technical assistance are among the services offered by the DIHM. Its team of health professionals brings together a broad range of expertise in primary healthcare, family medicine, tropical medicine and neglected diseases, emergency humanitarian interventions, nursing, migrant health and travel medicine, hospital organization and management.
It organizes every two years the Geneva Health Forum, an international conference which brings together the key actors in global access to health.
