The Institute of Research of Economic Development limited (IRED) is devoted to the advancement of economic policy research and analysis, consultancy and training in Africa. The institute deals with public policy issues and also socio-economic transformation and development. IRED provide advisory and technical in these areas to the Government, NGOs, Donors e.t.c. IRED also do consultancy in policy issues and others in economic development. IRED also collects and analyses relevant data and disseminates its research findings to a wide range of stakeholders through workshops/conferences, internal seminars, research papers, policy briefs, a newsletter e.t.c. Donor governments, private foundations, and African and international organizations support the IRED programmes. The mission of IRED is to perform innovative, relevant and meaningful applied research to solve social and economic problems by applying state-of-the-art methods and technologies consistent with local culture and traditions. IRED is working on donors on various research projects such as Innovation and Productivity, Trade and Unemployment, Productive employment, Capital in-flight illegal and monetary policies, Credit and Agricultural Productivity and migration in various countries in Africa and South East Asia. The mission of IRED is to perform innovative, relevant and meaningful applied research to solve social and economic problems by applying state-of-the-art methods and technologies consistent with local culture and traditions. We have researchers from economists, researchers, policy analysts and administrative staff. We have a total of 10 personnel.
